Most Helpful Positive Review Sig Whiskey 4-16x44 FFP Illuminated, very nice
I caught this thing on sale, and I have to say, it was a window-licking stupidly good deal for what I got. So it's First Focal Plane which is great because I like my math to add up easier and I'm (literally) autistic as heck as it is so it's harder to adjust for how a SFP scope reticle works, glass ...

The clarity of the scope is good. It’s going on in 223 Remington 700 replacing my old 3 x 9 Redfield I’m not going to the ranger yet

SIG SAUER Whiskey4 4-16x44mm FFP

by Silentman, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on January 29, 2026
Performed like it should. Clear glass, crisp lines, scope was installed on a AR15 556. Ran 100+ rounds through the rifle. Afterwards the scope still zeroed at 200 yards. Will buy another one. For the price and value. Good product.

Sig Sauer Whiskey 4

by B Dunk, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on January 24, 2026
I got a great price on a “demo” open box product, but when it arrived it was a brand new sealed box product. I put the scope on a savage 110 trail hunter and went to site it in. After initial site in I shot my best 5 shot group at .44”. The glass is clear and crisp and will do everything I need it to out to the 400 yards that I will use it to hunt with. I like the turret caps and the zero stop feature. Overall I am pleased with the scope especially at the sale price I got it at.
Best Used for:
  • Hunting/Target

Good scope

by Person, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on May 14, 2025
This is the first sig scope I have purchased and it is well made. Clarity is good for this price range, weight and features are also good. Only complaint I have is the throw lever for zoom power is not compatible with bolt guns (at least not mine). I mounted it on a Howa Mini, Savage 110, and rem 700 and all of the bolts hit the throw lever when magnification is maxed at 16. May work on a rifle with a 60 degree bolt thrown but you will still be smacking your hand.

My misunderstanding cost this scope 1 star

by Matthew Brown, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on August 28, 2024
I mounted this scope with a set of SIG SAUER Alpha scope rings to a SIG SAUER Cross bolt action rifle chambered in 308. My goal was to put together a lightweight hunting rifle capable out to 300 yards. I did some research regarding first focal plane (FFP) versus second focal plane (SFP) optics before I made my choice. I have a SFP scope on a bench-rest rifle and the fact that the holdover values change with magnification bothers me so I chose to go with a FFP scope for my hunting rifle. My thought was that since I don't plan to hunt at maximum magnification then having consistent holdover values at any magnification would be of value to me. Having no prior experience with a FFP scope I did not realize that the subtensions would be so small at low magnification that I couldn't use them. Other then my error in judgement the scope is fantastic. Clear and bright at all magnifications. There is plenty of eye relief, which is important with a bolt gun because they have a lot more recoil than a semi-automatic AR10 style rifle. The turrets are easy to zero and the zero-stop function for the exposed elevation turret is helpful should you choose to adjust for bullet drop instead of using the holdover in the reticle. The scope appears to be of high quality manufacture and durable. I will have to wait to see how it works for me in the field for a final review.
Pros:
  • Good field of view
  • clear and bright optics
  • FFP holdover values consistent at any magnifiation
  • exposed elevation turret with zero stop
Cons:
  • Subtensions are too fine for old eyes.
  • cover caps open too easily

Great Value for the Money

by Jboone1, Verified Owner from WY, United States Written on June 9, 2024
I'm very happy so far with the scope. I just got it mounted last week and have it bore sighted but I haven't completed the sight in process yet. It's impressive that the features included can be so affordable. This is my first FFP scope and I like this way more than I thought I would. also the ability to lock the adjustment on the turrets. It also comes with good quality flip up scope caps. I had transitioned away from the flip caps because of poor fit poor durability. These OEM Sig caps seem to be great fitting and sturdy. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and only more use and time will provide the final verdict.
Pros:
  • First focal plane definite advantage for target shooting and game.
Cons:
  • Reticle could be a little bigger for old eyes. Im in the 60s
Best Used for:
  • hunting and target mid to long range

Nice Scope

by KV, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on March 2, 2024
Been pleased with the scope. Has very nice eye relief. Sight picture looks very clear on the 16x maginfication. Picture was still nice and clear at 500+ yards.
Is a pretty large scope, a little bigger than I was expecting.
Locking elevation turret is nice and easy to use once your are familiar with it.
Illuminated reticle is a nice touch.
