Dennis Wagner's Review of SIG SAUER ZULU6 HDX OIS 10x30mm Schmidt-Pechan Prism Binocular
I was so blown away with these binoculars when I first turned them on and viewed a super sharp bright stabilized image from these binoculars. Bought them for our trip to maui in January for whale watching.
as a photographer I feel like I know a great image when i see one and these do perform well.I ordered these December 13 2022 and received them on December 19 installed the battery and tried them
out a few times for a couple of minutes at a time and was happy and exited I would be able to use these for our upcoming trip to maui for whale watching On our first day I used these on shore and they worked great.... for five minutes when all of a sudden the the stabilization just quit. I turned the power switch off and on and the stabilization was back....for 5 minutes then it was the game of wash rinse and repeat.so I tried a new battery and no change, tried a different brand of new battery still no change. so I just lived with it till we got back home. on January 29. When we got home I called Sig Sauer and was told that this is totally normal and designed into the stabilization to "give a rest for a few seconds" just turn them off and back on and you are good to go for 5 minutes. Really? 2 weeks To late to return them so if anybody wants a great deal on a slightly used pair.....
