It does magnify, but makes your aiming point fuzzy. The mount is not bad at all it locks in both positions seemingly well after a few adjustments and attaches to the rail fine. Sightmark 7x Tactical Magnifier
Disappointment with this magnifier. Causes a blur of the red dot on the SightMark Holographic sights. Had my eyes checked and they are all good. Had a gun enthusiast look at the magnifier and he couldn't make the problem go away. Looking through the holographic sight on its own, the red dot is perfect with minimal parallax. Looking through the magnifier on its own works fine as well. Put them together and hey presto...might as well use iron sights. I will buy a cheap magnifier from China and see if that makes a difference.

Sightmark 7x Tactical Magnifier
Workmanship is solid ... a good as any higher priced magnifier out there. Fits perfectly on my FAL and is not at all affected after 300 rounds. This magnifier is easy to mount, easy to focus and a downright pleasure to use.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that, after adjusting the focus to optimal, it wasn't as crisp as I am used to when shooting my sporter rifles with Leupold scopes. I would not let this deter you from buying this Sightmark magnifier! It is a great product and well worth the price.

decent magnifier for the price
i use this in conjunction with the sightmark ultrashot m-spec red-dot sight. the slide away feature is nice, but when snapped into line with the red dot, it doesn't always maintain zero, but it's not a huge deal since i'm just using it on an m-4 in .22lr for plinking. eye relief is pretty short, but not a huge deal either. solidly constructed.

Great Addition to my Aimpoint P.R.O.
Bought this as a less expensive alternative, and it has performed better than I could have ever hope. Great eye relief and well made, stable base. matched up perfectly with my Aimpoint P.R.O. highly recommended for budget saver.

7X Tactical Magnifier
Good magnifier. Sharp images. Seems robust. Terrible mount.
I knocked off 2 stars because it doesn't have lens caps and much more important the hinge to the side design of the mount has a huge amount of slop in it. It does not always return to the proper position due to this slop. I inserted a 12 thousands shim along the front edge to take out the slop. It's a kludge but it works and makes the magnifier work like it should.
You may as well buy a higher end magnifier as without modification to the mount or replacing the mount, this magnifier won't do the job.

Nice magnifier
This magnifier is great. I attached it to my AR and it lines up well with the EoTech I have on there already. It does what it's suppose to. Good glass, and the slide mount works pretty well too! You have to kind of force it to slide over, and kind of force it to lock back into place, but don't think you are going to break it by doing that. I wish Sightmark made a 10x mag. Because I would definitely buy it ;)

Great magnifier
I wasn't expecting a 1K magnifier but was pleasantly surprised at the clarity. One draw back is it will not mate with the full size Eotech. But my Aimpoint it was a perfect match. Holds strong to the mount for action shooting. Won't jar loose. Great buy for the price

Decent product for the money.
Needed cheep, yet reliable product for my rectangle dot sight by Bushnell. I worked kind of backward on this particular project. Guys from Optics Planet helped me to choose the right magnifier to what I already had. As for quality, Sightmark product is much more professional than the dot sight itself. I gonna get reed of the sight as soon as I'm finished with it. Will keep the magnifier though!

Sightmark Tactical Magnifier, 7x, Slide-to-Side Mount
This magnifier works great at about 100 yards, possibly out to 200. The slide to side mount was not all it was cracked up to be, I replaced the mount after only a few rounds with a MAKO mount and it works like a champ. Very good magnifier for the money.
