Sightmark Eclipse Gen. 1 4x50 Night Vision Monocular
This was a great device that should be used for observation. Moving around with this on 4x magnification would not be smart. However The picture is usually clear. Sometimes it can be hard to focus. The body feels durable and has a nice rubber grip. The only complaint I have about this devise is the carry case for it. it is to small and messes up the eye piece.I will have to look for a different one. It was exactly what i was looking for though. I have used expensive night vision and this does compare.
Pros: Visibility distance
Cons: Carrying case

If you just want to be able to make out what it is that is out there at night, this Sightmark Monocular will do it for you. If you want to be able to identify who it is, you'll need to invest more.
Pros: Inexpensive, basic night vision
