Good for a start
I bought these and they work great for the price they not a gen 3 but i didn't expect them to be but they are good for gen 1. And they didn't break the bank. They are may options on how you want to use these.

Good stuff
For the price it can't be beat. I'm just a novice to night vision so going out and spending thousand of dollars isn't the cards right now. But for a couple hundred bucks this unit works great. It's not 3 gen quality but I didn't expect it to be . It's a good unit to just start out with.

Sightmark ghost hunter 4x50
Just received my order on sunday afternoon and took it out Sunday night. The quality is very nice and it was ALOT lighter weight than I had imagined! This monocular is very user friendly for beginners. The image is nice and clear and the viewing distance is ok. I knew about the artifacts in the viewing area and decided that for the price it was worth a shot. It turns out that the unit I received has almost no artifacts, and the ones that are present are not even really noticeable. Overall this is a great product for the price.
