Just what I was looking for.
I was eyeing this particular model over the last month and finally made the purchase. I needed it to match the color of my 3x prism scope and the 12 hour auto off appealed to me. I didn’t have much rail space on top of my scope but it managed to clamp on! Will see how well it’ll hold up as is. I already have offset BUSs, so on top of the scope it is. The finish is great, the glass is great, and the dot also seems great. It’s design is slim and a good fit for its purpose on my AR build. Can’t speak on the reviewers I’ve seen using it on their pistols. The extra riser mount option is also great ...

Sightmark M-Spec Red Dot
Great product! This red dot is as good as any of the other main name red dots for half the price. I run it on a gun I use a lot for coyotes and have put it through the ringer. Haven’t had one glitch on it. Highly recommended! Plus, Sightmark is a U.S. company!
Pros:
- Price! Durability! Works as designed!
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Close range. I use as a canted optic.

Solid budget Red Dot
I have been using this sight with the tall riser on my AR15 build for a few months now. Originally sighted in at 50/200 and flip up irons if needed as back up. I frequently put up multiple USPSA targets at 25 to 50 yards and work shots with both eyes open while moving to various barricade positions. Estimating 800 rounds now with this sight and I have not had to adjust it other than when I adjusted the riser more forward. I have not intentionally abused it however it has handled moderate bumps and knocks without issues. Haven’t had to change the battery. I can operate the buttons even with cold weather gloves on. My wife has shot this same set up and she really prefers this sight over my 1 - 6 variable scope. Overall, I don’t have any complains and am happy with this red dot. I recommend this for quick targeting engagements under 200 yards. I set up plates at 150 and 200 yards and can hit them every time with the red dot. I have not tried it with a 3X flip up but am thinking about doing such with 100 to 200-yard targets for head shots.
Pros:
- easy set up
- easy operation
- Variable brightness
- great dual eye use
Cons:
- No NVG settings
Best Used for:
- 25 to 50 yard quick shots.

SightMark M-Speck Red Dot
During the time of purchase, I have compared this reflex optic with other brand reflex optics with a similar price point and concluded that this was the best option at the time. It’s a very durable and aesthetically pleasing optic. The only issue I have noticed so far is the glare it gives off depending on the angle of light projecting off the glass and there are no auditable clicks when zeroing.
