Reviews & Ratings for Sightmark Mini Shot Pro Red Dot
— 5 reviews — Page 1
Got this for my AR-15 and I am pretty pleased so far. Very easy to install and use. Once I had this sighted in correctly it held true through many uses with very minimal adjusting. The protective hood helps both keeping the glass protected and the glare out. If you are looking for a quality Red Dot without spending a whole of money, the Mini Shot Pro is a good place to start.

I purchased this for my Ruger Mark II. I wasn't expecting much for the price but was pleasantly surprised after firing about 200 rounds through the range with it. It holds it's zero like all my other pricier optics, has an easy to see adjustable dot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I even had to remove it from the accessory rail I installed for some maintenance and after reattaching it it was still on target!

Ive bought several cheap reflex sights but they either break or exhibit poor performance so I wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised with the sightmarks quality and the dot is very visible. I mounted it on a 22 pistol and it works very well. The highest setting dot is to bright but I don't use that setting.
Pros:
Quality, Price, Ruggedness
Cons:
too bright on high
Best Used for:
22 pistol

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and utility of this product. I bought it as a backup site for a telescopic site and did not want to spend all that much money. It is early days still but so far so good. I have a JP red dot in a similar setup which I have had for some time now - that is not to say that the JP is an inferior product in any way but the Sightmark is half the price of the JP.
Pros:
Price
Cons:
none... yet
Best Used for:
Back up

I bought this for use on a .22 handgun... I have two Burris Fastfire III's on bigger guns, but I wanted to try something cheaper on a .22 plinker.
This is the best Fastfire clone that I could find, mainly due to the momentary switch and adjustable brightness levels. The models with a cheap physical on/off switch are more likely to fail in my opinion.
The overall quality is nowhere near the Burris offering and I would probably not trust it to last on a larger caliber weapon... but at half the price, I think it is a good budget option for a light use range weapon.
Pros: Price, momentary switch, adjustable brightness
Cons: Cheap zero adjustments
