The LQD version IS worth he extra $$$ because not only does it have the locking QD mount but it is 1 of 2 Sightmark models that come with the auto on feature which is huge when buying of home defense purposes. The reticle is crystal clear and the overall sight picture is excellent with little to no parallax.
