superior optics
In my experience, Sightron optics are superior to all other brands in any given price range, and always at a significantly lesser cost, They are always equal to or better than other brands costing 2-3 times as much., including higher end European glass. They are consistantly the best value in sport optics on the market.

Disappointed
I have owned a pair of the delightful Blue Sky II 8x32's (made in the Phillipines) for years now. They are extremely sharp and well built and a delight to use. For this reason, I took a chance on these unrated, full size "Blue Sky II 8x42's" thinking if they were a full-sized version of my 8x32's they would be an awesome buy. Well they are not. These are cheaply made CHINESE binocluars that are Sightron "Blue Sky II" in name only. The barrels were misaligned and when I adjusted the diopter setting, a hair (yes, a HAIR) was floating around in the right optic. As I turned the diopter setting, the hair would move. It was obviously stuck in the works. What a joke. Needless to say they were returned. Two stars is probably being generous for a $300 binocular.
