Most Helpful Positive Review Sightron Red Dot - Stainless
Extremely adjustable brightness. Clear, crisp reticles. 2 moa crosshair dot is fantastic. I mounted it on a Ruger MK III Competition Target. It is exactly what I was hoping for at less than half the cost of EOTech and 4 different reticles to boot. Very happy with this purchase. I would definitely re...

Most Helpful Negative Review WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY
I purchased the Sightron 33mm for my 44mag revolver. I'm not going to explain how this scope messed up my 9 day hunting trip, waisted ammo, money and time. Let's just make it short. Supplied rings are junk, will not tighten down, scope moves in the rings, other than the cheap supplied rings there a...

Solid performer

by Jeffrey, from NY, United States Written on January 24, 2019
Got one of these for bullseye mounted atop beretta type 87 target all I can say is WOW scores improved immediately the trigger is pretty bad on the pistol but the weight and clarity helps. I also have a s&w Model 41 with a ultadot 30 and it is nice but for some reason I like the sightron better. Both sights have comparable reticals and have similar controls and build quality is the same both are marked made in Japan so I'd say give me the sightron b/c it also seems to be a few bucks less
Pros:
  • Quality comes with rings
Cons:
  • Rings are 33mm good luck finding these
Best Used for:
  • General use cant say how they would hold up under heavy recoil

Great little scope

by Cowboy, from MO, United States Written on October 6, 2018
Solidly built scope; easy to mount and zero. Nice selection of reticles which can easily be seen in both dim light and bright sunshine. Mounted scope on my 357 Magnum to help my old eyes stay on target at distance. Zeroed easily at 25 yards. Immediately started to put my shots inside a 3 inch bullseye at that distance.

Great performer!

by Dale, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on May 15, 2018
Replaced my reflex sight with this ES on my S&W Victory target pistol. Won me first place at the local Bullseye match and achieved my best score this season 487/500 (so far). Very easy to acquire targets with a very crisp dot. It is a little heavier than the mini-dot reflex which actually helped for recoil management during timed fire. Windage and elevation Adjustments are accurate with a nice detent click. Other reticle settings may be used for steel challenge, IPSC, USPSA, or other tactical COF. Battery swap is easy without any re-sighting in. Too bad it is an obsolete product, so get them while you can. The 33 mm ring size is unique so consider ordering an extra pair for the future. I did have one mount ring that was misaligned but worked. Sightron customer service sent me a new pair straight away. End caps, sunshade, polarizer, rings, wrench, and a battery were included which makes it a complete system.

Pretty good glass, nice reticle selection

by kadrian, from TX, United States Written on January 12, 2018
This is a nice sight for Target shooting, easy to use with a variety of reticle options for different situations. Seems well made! Not to confident in the included mount, doesn't seem to hold very firm... Hoping I can use a 35mm mount!
Pros:
  • Clear glass,
Cons:
  • Rotating reticle selection is less robust than fixed reticle, included mount seems flimsy

red dot sight. very nice and compact.

by loveriding, from OH, United States Written on December 28, 2017
Very nice sight. I have yet to put it on anything yet but for the price I'll find something. If it don't hold up I'll let you all know. I think its going to go on a 44 mag single shot for Ohio deer. I have a similar sight on my muzzleloader and its been good for over 20 years now.

Nice red dot targeting scope

by gzweyknen, Verified Owner from KS, United States Written on September 30, 2015
I purchased this red dot because I was looking for one. Optics offered a discount and that made up my mind. I like it more now that I have it. I put it on a Ruger Charger. Fits great and looks as well. Brightness adjust, great crosshair brightness. I would recommend this item, a little pricy but good value.
Pros:
  • looks and works great
Cons:
  • Price is a little high, but worth it.
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting out to 25 yards

Best sight for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on December 27, 2012
I purchased one of these about 6-7 years ago and mounted it on my AR. I have shot 3 gun matches with it and its worked very well for the money. It has plenty of brightness settings and holds its zero very well. Im upgrading to a 1-4 scope on my AR and moving this to my daughters slug gun for deer hunting. You really cant beat this sight for the money and it has a lifetime warranty from manufacture. It has several reticles and the circle dot is SUPER fast but the single dot works best for longer ranges. I find those are really the only 2 reticles that I use on it.
Pros: Very reliable
Cons: No auto shut off

Excellant product

by Legacy Reviewer, from NC, United States Written on March 24, 2012
I bought this scope for the 2011 deer season and mounted it on my Ruger Super Redhawk 44Mag.I did have to purchase a pair of Burris adapters in order to mount it to my Super Redhawk because of Rugers design. I took my limit of deer without any problem. Great scope. Never lost zero. I'm going to purchase another one for my 20 gauge slug gun. Great product. Well worth the price.
Pros: Easy to use, excellent finish, long battery life, holds zero
Cons: None
