Great value, clear, well built, & tracked well
I have always heard good things about Sightron rifle scopes. I saw the 3-9x40 SI Hunter on sale and gave it a try. As the review title says: Great value, clear, well built, and tracks well. This is a very clear scope that tracked very well. It Did not fog in the field while used raining 30-40 degree weather. Loved the turret knobs. No coin necessary to turn. Just use fingers. My only concern was that it did not perform better in dusk, low light conditions. It was about average for its price. IMO 3-9x40 scopes such as Burris Fullfield II, Nikon Monarch, and Weaver V series all performed better. Regardless, I do not regret buying it. I’ll probablly just use it on my muzzle loader.
Pros:
- Did not fog
- Very clear and tracked very well
- W/E turrets easy to operate
Cons:
- Average low light performance
Best Used for:
- hunting
Would recommend: Yes
