You have a great piece of glass, with a Lifetime Replacement Warranty. You get what is promised a world class scope you can bet your life on. It is clear and fast on target. A great AR scope, from point blank or as far as you can shoot. Pros: You have something better than the next guy!!! Cons: Sorry no cons on this one.

Sightron SIII Illuminated Reticle

by Mike, from PA, United States Written on December 27, 2020
Feels like high quality and has very clear glass. Waiting to sight it in. Great price. This will be going on a MK12 to replace the old Leupold MK4. Itdm took a bit to ship, but showed up perfect. Just have to make sure the batteries supplied are not dead.

The Ones With Turret Caps Make Great Hunting Scopes

by wildcatgoal, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on December 3, 2020
Sometimes I'm baffled by the decisions scope manufacturers make. This zoom range and objective size are most suitable for a hunting rifle or potentially a MSR that is used for hunting (like hogs or coyotes). Consequently, it would seem all of the models would be equipped with scope caps. The ones that are - like the one I have - still has "target/tactical" style turrets (as opposed to super flat, small turrets found on your typical basic 3-9x hunting scope. Given the fact that even the capped turrets are relatively tall and large, really all models in this 3.5-10x44mm range should have capped turrets. Mine has a mil-dot reticle with MOA adjustments, which never made sense but I opted to buy it anyway because I like the general quality of SIII scopes. I will say that I can sort of see "inside" of the scope when it's light out. More specifically, there's a divot or recess inside of the scope assembly at the objective side (perhaps part of what holds the glass in?) that I can see while looking through the scope. Not a big deal and not particularly uncommon, but given the original MSRP of these things I didn't expect that. The glass, though, is clear and, most importantly to me, the eyebox is not a pain in the royal tookus to stay in. I find the turrets to have nice tactiles and the markings line up like they should (they're better turrets in that sense than my Leupold VX-5s). I actually prefer that Sightron sell scopes with the gold vs. white lettering and am disappoi...

Simple, but great, scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on July 19, 2013
This is a very simple 3x zoom range scope. But it has outstanding glass quality and clean, repeatable adjustments. No frills, but it works great. I've done a box test and it tracks perfectly.
Pros: glass, clarity, adjustments, quality
Cons: old-school mildot reticle

Lots of value for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on May 5, 2013
I was looking for a relatively light lower power mil/mil scope. Having read many favorable reviews of Sightron SIIIs and finding this model has everything I was looking for, it was a no brainer. The glass is as spectacular (for the money, and yes, I've owned S&Bs) and I've heard and the construction and turrets are top notch. Happy customer here.
Pros: optical quality, value, erector travel

Sightron SIII 3.5-10x44

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on October 12, 2010
This is my third Sightron and second SIII purchase This scope is being used for hunting and Mid-range (300, 500 & 600yd) F-class competition. Resolution and clarity sufficent for this type of competition despite some thoughts that 10X is not adequate at 600yds. This scope is a sure winer !!
Pros: -Excellent clarity, first rate build quality, at approximately 120 minutes of windage and elevation this scope has suffcient adjustment for virtually any need
