SIII 60mm Sunshade
I have 3 Sightron SIII SS Long Range 10-50x60mm 30mm #25138 scopes. On the Sightron website it states "Black to match riflescope" however, the finish does not match the finish on the scopes. The all three scopes have a little gloss in the finish, but the sunshade is a much flatter black. Maybe I got a late Friday afternoon before a 3-day weekend sunshade.
I can live with it, just letting you know.
it fits fine, works fine but looks odd because of the two-tone color difference.
YMMV good luck!

Sightron SIIILR 60mm Sunshade
What can I say? It screws on easy, very well built and does what is exposed to. This went on my Sightron 10-50x60mm. The scope is mounted to a Tikka T1x 22lr. Shooting dum dums suckers at 90 yds. in almost direct sun light. Worked great.
Pros:
- well built
Cons:
- maybe a little over built
Best Used for:
- long range shooting

sightron SIIILR 60MM SUNSHADE
Other than the fact that I think this sunshade should be included with the scope, it was as expected. Threaded on clean and Sightron says they are stackable. I have yet to try that yet, as I do own two of these scopes.Seems like a well made shade.
Pros:
- Well made. Stakable
Cons:
- should be included with scope
Best Used for:
- target/bench shooting

sightron SIIILR 60mm sunshade
Does what I needed but too heavy, could be machined thinner to reduce weight. Would be nice if more than one could be put together for that time when the sun is directly at you. Would be great if a longer one was available.

A must have for a great scope.
If you bought this high quality scope then you need the accompanying sunshade to prevent possible glare. It is solidly built and threads nicely onto the scope. It also serves to protect the objective lens. Simply order from Optics Planet and get price, quality and service. It’s that easy.
Pros:
- Solidly built and smacks of quality when you pick it up.
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Needed for all situations where you might be shooting toward the sun.

Sightron Sun Shade
Kind of heavy but will take a licking. You certainly don't have to worry about it getting dented during normal use. Could be a little lighter but, if used for target shooting, it doesn't matter so much.

Quality piece of equipment
I am very pleased with the sunshade, price was equal to all other sites selling this sunshade. I opted to buy from OpticsPlanet being the reputable company they are.
Shipping was terrible BUT IS WAS NOT OPTICSPLANET FAULT!! Good Ole USPS misplaced my package and it took almost two weeks to arrive.

Very well made
This sunshade is very nicely made; heavy aluminum construction. The inside of the tube is completely machined with anti-reflective grooves. Unlike some sun shades, this one is not likely to get a ding if you bang the edge on something. On the other hand, it weighs 5.6 ounces, so if you're in a weight-restricted class such as Class F/TR, the weight could possibly be a consideration. Otherwise, I don't think you can beat this product for toughness. Highly recommended.
