I've had a few Sightron scopes before, but this is on another level. I almost bought the 27000 model on accident, but it DOES NOT have the extra low dispersion glass. I don't know how much of a difference that truly makes, but I can tell you that image quality is outstanding on this model. Everyone raves about Nightforce glass, but to me even the ATACR series produce just an OK image. They are bright, tend to be a whiter/blue image with great contrast, but don't resolve details very well. The Sightron has a very true color rendition, with just a slightly warmer color saturation, exceptional contrast, and amazing resolution. There is just a hint of blue aberration at the highest magnification levels when used in direct, full sun. Overall use and feel of controls is excellent. The fine focus on the parallax adjustment is more than a gimmick, it is brilliant engineering at work. It allows quick adjustment to get in the ballpark, and a fine graduation to dial in perfectly. I would consider parallax adjustment to be "snappy", as there is a very narrow band where the image is in perfect focus. Personal preference, but I really prefer that. Turret feel is very precise, with excellent click spacing and a very "clicky" detent. Having 1/8 MOA clicks is great for fine tuning, and 70 MOA seems fairly generous for a scope with such a high magnification range. The locking feature of my turrets is very stiff, but effective. Some would balk at not having a zero stop, but if you set up with t...
