I use this scope on a light AR and another on an AK (using a side-mount that puts a rail right over the receiver). Clear and effective at 50-200 yards. I find I don't even need the illumination much, the plain black crosshairs suffice, and it is nice that it can work that way in a pinch. The eye relief is OK, but you will need to adjust your cheek weld or stock to the distance it likes. Separate focus on rear, and easy screwdriver 1/4 MOA adjusts for windage and elevation, holds zero. Rugged and mounts very easily. Not a long range precision scope, but for a battle rifle set up, works great.
Pros: Very effective fixed power red dot style scope
Cons: Fixed power, sweet spot eye relief
