This was a very nice muzzle break. And at a very good price. I had received a discount code and used it to purchase this item and I already had a few and wanted another. If you want or need a SilencerCo muzzle brake, I would recommend this one .
Pros:
- Perfect Fit
- easy installation
Cons:
- None that I can come up with

Slapped this puppy on my 20" 308 DMR Aero build, and I've got no complaints. Combined with the heavy profile of my rifle, this keeps the recoil to a minimum, with the added benefit of being able to, and often, slapping a can on it. Because shooting 308 with no ears is fun and convenient!

Great mount, went on just fine , I’ll be using it with my hybrid 46 and a bravo ASR mount . Optics planet was quick to get it to me , so all in all it’s a great experience .

I bought three on these mounts, one for an RRA LAR-8, one for RPR in 308, and one for Ruger/Marlin 45-70. All will use one SilencerCo 46M. ASR came with necessary washers and was easy to clock as top and bottom of ASR are identical with no porting. Surefire Warcomps with porting take more time to clock correctly.
Have not yet put any rounds through them, but expect great results.

Looks like I’m not the only one with these minor issues. Package came in “with rocksett,” but of course it was once again dried up in the pouch. I called both optics planet and silencer co, both basically said if I want more, I’m going to have to buy it, so since it keeps happening, I said screw it and got a small bottle on amazon for $14. The other issue I’ve seen is that after using it in a suppressor, there’s a buildup of carbon that I just can’t get off. I use a $30 brake on one of my guns and a $130 brake and compensator on another, both with an asr attachment so I can easily mount my suppressor, and both wipe clean with a little bit of solvent and less than a minute of rubbing. Not with this brake though.
Otherwise it does its job well and was easy to time. It also holds my suppressor securely so I’m not worried about it coming loose at all.
Pros:
- Works as advertised
- Mounts easily
- holds suppressor better than direct thread
Cons:
- impossible to clean
- rocksett comes dry and unusable

This is my fourth one now. All have been perfect. It’s a great system for a multi-cal suppressor. Still need a few more. Takes about 15 seconds to change from one rifle to another. Highly recommend. Service from Optics Planet was excellent as always. Would like to see some more options from Silencerco on bore sizes. 6.5, 6mm ect.
Pros:
- Repeatable shots. Easy to use.
Cons:
- Need more bore size options. Hard to clean carbon. Add more shims for timing.
