ze pilot's Review of SilencerCo ASR Muzzle Brake

Looks like I’m not the only one with these minor issues. Package came in “with rocksett,” but of course it was once again dried up in the pouch. I called both optics planet and silencer co, both basically said if I want more, I’m going to have to buy it, so since it keeps happening, I said screw it and got a small bottle on amazon for $14. The other issue I’ve seen is that after using it in a suppressor, there’s a buildup of carbon that I just can’t get off. I use a $30 brake on one of my guns and a $130 brake and compensator on another, both with an asr attachment so I can easily mount my suppressor, and both wipe clean with a little bit of solvent and less than a minute of rubbing. Not with this brake though.

Otherwise it does its job well and was easy to time. It also holds my suppressor securely so I’m not worried about it coming loose at all.
Pros:
  • Works as advertised
  • Mounts easily
  • holds suppressor better than direct thread
Cons:
  • impossible to clean
  • rocksett comes dry and unusable
