Flash hider
Silencer co flashhider is awesome! No ting sound like most flashhiders and is nice and short so doesn’t add unnecessary length. Suppressors with ASR mounts fit nice and snug. Plus it looks great. Would highly recommend!

Threading was bad
I purchased three ASR mounts over the last three months from optics planet as they came in stock. The 9mm 1/2x28 works perfectly on all my guns. But, the .224 1/2x28 had some bur or machining issue. It would not thread on any of my 1/2x28 barrels. I sent it back the next day. It’s been 2 weeks....

SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider
So, everyone is aware of SilencerCo quality so I’ll rate OpticsPlanet instead. I’ve purchased 30-40 ASR Mounts. Like everyone, I watch the sales and shop around. I quickly learned to quit looking and just buy them from OpticsPlanet. They are almost always cheaper there and on several orders, I received a message from them to get a special price. Of course, each time, I called and got special pricing. The prices are often so good, I have several with different threads sizes in the drawer because I know I’ll need them later.
Pros:
- Great finish, easy to install and priced right.
Cons:
- Theres only a Con if you try and use barrel shim, just tighten it up and let the splines fall where they fall.
- A lot of the time, the liquid thread locker that comes with the mount is dried up.
- Often, the liquid thread locker is dried up. I dont use it anyways.
Best Used for:
- Attaching suppressors

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Machining and finish are perfect. I like to use the 30 cal/7.62 version on my 223 Rem/5.56 rifles because its significantly lighter.

Good for dual purpose...
Interfaces with silencerco hybrid and keeps the flash down on AR stuff. It's pretty heavy duty so probably not the first choice for a light build. Doesn’t need to be lined up so no washers needed. I would and have bought it again.
