Jim's Review of Simmons 8 Point 4-12x40 TruPlex Objective Rifle Scope

Scope is cheap but works ok for a kid. I put it on a 6mm Rem for my 8 year old and it's all he needs for now. The eye relief changes a lot when you change to power. Cross hairs are micro thin. Ok for a kid with good eyes. Not so for an old pair of eyes.
Pros:
  • $13 after rebate
Cons:
  • eye relief could be better, like closer to 4in.
Best Used for:
  • Kids and .22 rifles
