Great scope for the money
I've used these scopes on 3 or 4 22s and 22mags, a 25-06 and a 50 caliber muzzleloader. Great scopes for the money. Clear enough for all but the worst case situations and they hold zero very well. I like the 12 power over the 9 power for precise shooting. Shooting bottle caps at 75 yards with a ...

Works with some limitations
I will say "Yes" for recommending this scope but with a few limitations. For a budget scope, it does what it's supposed to do. The windage and elevation turrets are tough to adjust, but maybe they will loosen up a little with time. This scope would probably be better with small caliber rifles as I d...

Amazing scope, great magnification range.
I mounted this scope in my .177 breakbarrel pellet rifle, and as you may know the reverse recoil of spring airguns is particularly harsh on scopes, but it has held perfect zero. The Truplex reticle is sharp, and the glass is clear and gives great color. The magnification range on this optic can be used for indoor, short range shooting, or even out past 100 yards. This is a bery versitile rifle scope. It is not too big, but not too small, and has wondefrul eye relief. The magnification adjustment wheel is smooth and easy to use. Since I have purchased this scope I have taken many pest birds around my neighborhood as well as six rabbits within the small game season. All in all, this is an incredible rifle scope, and for the price, It’s unbeatable. Buy it and you won’t regret it at all.
Pros:
- Glass is clear, lets in great light, magnification range is perfect for any kind of shooting, reticle is sharp, holds perfect zero on spring airguns.
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Any kind of target shooting, perfection for a hunter like me

Great scope
Wow! I was amazed how it held a great group pattern on the target I will buy again. You can’t beat the price or quality great scope. Never bore sighted the 243 seven shots is all it took to get it right. I have a Simmons 8 point 3x9x40 that I put on my 30/30 marlin never had one problem with it so I bought this one. You can’t go wrong.

Good scope
I have several of these scopes and use them from rim fires to center fires. They always adjust well and hold their point of aim. If I switch to another rifle they again line up and hold the point of aim. I am well please with this scope.
Pros:
- Inexpensive

Good scope for a kid
Scope is cheap but works ok for a kid. I put it on a 6mm Rem for my 8 year old and it's all he needs for now. The eye relief changes a lot when you change to power. Cross hairs are micro thin. Ok for a kid with good eyes. Not so for an old pair of eyes.
Pros:
- $13 after rebate
Cons:
- eye relief could be better, like closer to 4in.
Best Used for:
- Kids and .22 rifles

Simmons 8 Point 4-12x40 Black Matte TruPlex Objective Riflescope
So far I am pleased with this scope. I purchased it for a .50 cal T/C muzzleloader. I was able to sight in in about 7-8 shots. If you don't look directly down the center of the scope, you get a white cloud around the edge. This could be corrected if I did not use a scope mount with see-through sights. But I like the option of using the hard sights in case of a close shot. With the taller scope mounts, your cheek comes off the stock and makes looking directly down the scope a little more difficult to hold steady. All in all, I like it.
Pros:
- price/performance
Cons:
- None
