Works, but not what i expected... - Simmons 510513 Blazer 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope

Survived getting sighted in on my .444 Handi-Rifle. The lack of auto-focus surprised me and the location and effects of the 'fast focus' has ruined some of my plans for the scope. Also, the unit that I received did not have "rubberized" anything, so maybe they shipped me last year's model? I'm disappointed, but you can't return a scope that's been mounted, so I'll make do.
Pros: The scope works and seems to be able to take significant recoil.
Cons: The problem is that it doesn't auto focus, so you have to mess with this 'fast focus' ring at the eye piece, which doesn't feel solid and makes using any type of see-thru or flip up scope covers a bad idea as you either can't focus through the see-thru covers properly, or you cant adjust the focus with the slide-on flip covers.
