excellent target scope at 100 yards
I have become an expert on cheap scopes, having bought 4 different ones for my Savage 17. But this is the ticket: side parallax adjustment, lots of light, big eye box (I could not get my Tasco close enough to my eye, I had to move the Simmons almost all the way forward), a reticle that is outstanding for targets, and enough power for 100 yards. I think to get a better scope, you will need to go close to USD500.
Pros: light-weight, solid construction, very nice reticle (truplex)

Target Scope
I bought this scope for target shooting. I know, it's not a true target scope. However, I have used it in a few competitions and it has performed well. While low turrets look nice, higher turrets would make sighting-in easier. Knobs are a little stiff, but I would expect that from a new scope. Simmons makes very good scopes at a very good price. I wish they would consider making scopes specifically for target shooting - I'd be one of their first customers!

great for any money
Greaqt scope for any amount of money. Only test left is will it hold up over time.
