This is the fourth Simmons Pro Sport 4-12x40 scope that I have purchased. It’s the adjustable objective, and the reasonable price that keeps me coming back to this brand, and model. I shoot high powered air rifles, and 22LR, and find these scopes have a clear, and crisp sight image at all yardage. I ordered this scope through OpticsPlanet, and was delighted that it came to my door over a week early. Thank you OpticsPlanet for the great quality of service! I would recommend this product, and OpticsPlanet to anyone looking for a better than average scope, and great service!
Pros:
- Adjustable objective, great quality, and ease of setup at all ranges.
Cons:
- none for me
- Wish that it came with rings
Best Used for:
- High powered pellet rifles, or 22 rim fire rifles (in my case).

Very pleased with the quality of this scope. I found all adjustments to operate smooth. At 100 yards target was very crisp and clear. The adjustable objective is the way to go. Would definitely get same scope for next firearm.

Not a high cost scope, but works great on my 336w Marlin 30/30. Sharp and what you need, or spend $300 for another. Deer in the fridge with this one! Boresighted well and did even better on the range. Also you do not need a coin to adjust the scope, fingers work fine.

For the price this is a great scope. It is clear at all levels. I would have given this scope 5/5 if the zoom ring was easy to turn. 2 fingers won't budge it, I would say if you have limited hand strength this scope is not for you. I'm 30 and healthy, it's difficult for me to turn. Most zoom rings have a raised area to grip this scope needs about an inch raised area because it's so tight. Would I buy another one of the scopes...NO i wouldn't
Pros: clear at all zoom levels
Cons: ZOOM ring is SUPER difficult to turn

Not pleased at all, have just purchased a Savage model 10 in 223 caliber and will be replacing scope with a new Redfield as I have one on my 30-06 for 30 years now with no problems whatever. I am disgusted with the poor quality in this scope for a gun package that I paid over $1000 for.
Cons: don't see the need for adjusting front of scope

This is a great scope for the money. The AO feature is free of parallax at 50 and 100 yards per my benchtest. The windage and adjustment is tool free and provides solid clicks. Rubber rings at both scope ends make adjustments easy. Simmons should consider using better lens covers, and the red ring on the top turret doesn't fit the classy look of the gloss scope that I purchased.
Pros: Features for price, quality overall, eye relief and short length
Cons: Unsightly red ring on scope turret, cheap lens cover
