Most Helpful Positive Review simmons prosport spotting scope
Good quality and use ability.I wanted a cheap spotting scope so I got this and feel like I got more than I paid for. Pros: great bang for the buck. image is good and clear hardly need to zoom Cons: tripod is a freebie for the package so i bought a better one
Most Helpful Negative Review Not for target practice
I purchased this scope for target practice. At 50 yards it was hard to focus and the image was foggy. The tripod is useless. Cons: hard to focus, unclear at 50 yards

Simmons spotting scope

by Steve, from OH, United States Written on January 22, 2017
Great job by Optic Planet. Haven't played with it much but it seems pretty good. Haven't tried to use the tripod yet. Nice case that comes with It. I took it to the back yard and looked out of the scope, seems like it does a good job. I like it so far. So when it warms up and I can get out to the range I'll find out.
Pros:
  • Nice case size that can be broght to the range
  • objects appear crisp
Cons:
  • Nothing yet

Simmons Spotting Scope

by stevessf, from FL, United States Written on April 17, 2016
A halfway decent spotting scope at best. Came with a case, lens covers and tripod, which is a lot for the money I spent on it. Tripod is not worth using. I use a camera tripod I have instead. The scope works. I brought it and was too lazy to return it. I actually purchased it at Walmart for around $55.00.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • poor eye relief
  • Can only use in good daylight
  • crummy tripod
Best Used for:
  • Target spotting scope

Simmons 20-60x60 ProSport Spotting

Good scope for the $$ just what I was looking for, the tripod is a little on the cheap side, I like the fact that it came with the soft case and the hard caes for added protection. I was surprised at the clarity for the money.

Nice Scope

The scope arrived well packaged and protected. I was impressed by the hard shell case. The scope is well manufactured and presents itself nicely. At the range I found the tripod a little unstable but still serviceable. There was no problem seeing quarter inch holes at a 100 and 200 yards. The only downside is the lack of eye relief. All in all, a good scope at the price.

BROKEN OPUT OF THE BOX

Thinking of being economical have a basic scope for range maybe a little field work. Do not bother. You get what you pay for.
Pros: CHEAP

Simmons pro sport spotting scope

by D., from MI, United States Written on December 21, 2013
Scope #841101 was advertised the demo and to include an aluminum hard case and was shipped without. They continously refused to send the case because it was a demo(although the demo was and after many weeks is still advertised with the hard case). Many different people at Optics agreed that was in print in atleast four different places on the site. But the "brass" said "if not happy, send it back" so I did.
Checking today, it is still advertised in the same manner.
I will NOT buy from Optics again.

Pros: Scope appeared
Cons: Poor service and false advertising

Simmons spotting scope/case/tripod

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on August 26, 2010
The scope is good quality and easy to use the case and tripod could use some improvement. The tripod needs to be more stable for the weight of the scope when the tripod is extended. The case is just cheaply made.
