Most Helpful Positive Review Good Value for the Money
Just purchased this scope & mounted it on my CZ455 Varmint with Leopould High Rings. I was aprehensive seeing anothers review, but my scope is bright & sharp all the way up to 18X & the bpld handle clears the power adjustment knob @ all power settings. I also don't get the design of the .22 LR range...

Most Helpful Negative Review Terrible quality
This scope does not compare to even an entry level scope. Unable to obtain a cleat image regardless of variable focus. The light transmission ts terrible. On a bright July day image looks like twilight. Pros: None Cons: Terrible optics, poor light transmission

Awesome Scope

by NRAALLTHEWAY, from IN, United States Written on February 27, 2015
I have a lot of scope use in my lifetime I have looked extensively at a nice scope for .22. This scope is very good quality for money I have and will recommend for Family Friends I do not have long term use report for scope but fill confident since it has lifetime warranty and under large umbrella company (Vista Outdoor) that owns 33 major brands including Bushnell ETC. Scope clarity is better than a lot of my more expensive and bigger scopes (clarity hard to believe for this price point its that good). Target turrets have nice defined solid clicks comes with .17 and .22 yardage elevation turrets included and normal 1/4 MOA attached to scope -- allen head screw to change out turret cap do not tighten all way or you will freeze up turret. This scope is very solidly built - a little heavy but this is expected because scope is robust. Well made all features you could want side parallax and target turrets etc. I called scope manufacturer this scope is made in China but in totally American owned factory and U.S. company. I asked if it would handle .308 Winchester and If that would void warranty said it would be o.k. warranty intact if mounted on .308 Winchester I say buy and enjoy GOOD VALUE.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Clarity
  • Build quality
Cons:
  • none at this time

Savage 93R17 FV

Glass is good for this price scope. Comes with ballistic matched turret for 22LR and a MOA turret. Changed mine to the MOA turret, however the scale printed on the turrets are backwards. Never seen anything like this. To dial "UP" you have to move down on the scale. ie if on 10 and want to go "UP" 4 you move turret to 6. NOT COOL Simmons!
Pros: Clear Glass thru range of magnification
Cons: Turret Scale Backwards - Eye relief Sensitive

Good scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on June 12, 2012
This is an exellent scope for the money. Tracks well. Clear all the way up to 18x. I started with the 3x9 Pro Target was so impressed with it I got this one and was not dissapointed.

This scope is heavy but no problem as it's on a heavy rifle.
Pros: Glass exellent for the price, Has all the features I need
Cons: Mounted close to barrel the indicator on power selection knob interferes with bolt on 6 & 7 power

simmons protarget 22lr

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on February 16, 2012
My overall opinion of this scope is: that it is a great concept but VERY poor planning and execution. Should of had the option of a mil-dot reticle, a turret cap maked in moa in proper direction, and windge maked in both directions. But, for the price- the optics are clear enough, and adjustments are repeatable. You get what you pay for.
Pros: cheap, repeatable adjustments, side focus
Cons: turrets marked backwards on windage, ballistic turret not compatable with any ammo
