Great for reducing felt recoil and/or lengthening lop - Limbsaver AirTech Slip-On Recoil Pad

I have a few of these in multiple sizes for different long guns already, so I'm very satisfied. In general I prefer to buy slip on recoil pad rather permanent changes, just to keep the long-gun as original as possible, and ensuring the modifications are easy to reverse. In most cases I bought Limbsaver AirTech recoil pads to reduce felt recoil, but sometimes I get them to increase the LOP on shorter buttstocks. These come in several sizes (height, width...not thickness), which is handy for obvious reasons. However, I don't think I've ever got one that fits perfectly on any of my guns, but that's been ok for me. If you can't get one that fits your stock perfectly, then get the one that's slightly smaller. Also, watch out for your rear sling stud; Limbsaver makes the bottom part shorter, presumably to accommodate sling studs. I never had an issue. Only critique I might have is how sometimes the surface that contacts your shoulder can sometimes be a little "tacky" in terms of sticking to your shirt depending on the cloth or how tight/loose your shirt is, or maybe temperature and humidity. I've noticed this, and it can be more noticeable if you slide the stock up/down your shoulder. But again, it's never been an issue for me - no complaints.
