Sims Vibration AirTech Slip-On Recoil Pad
After looking at a number of Recoil Pads on the market, many required removing was what on my shotgun, possibly doing some grinding and adjusting, to add a new recoil pad. I thought, "I just want to add a recoil pad, not re-do my shotgun!"
I looked at a number of recoil pads, and decided on this one. I quickly and easily slipped this onto my shotgun. Done!!
It has one inch padding, is black, which is what is currently on my shotgun, and is doing the job I bought it for.
Priced competitively, take a serious look at this one. I think you will like the features.
great for reducing felt recoil and/or lengthening LOP
I have a few of these in multiple sizes for different long guns already, so I'm very satisfied. In general I prefer to buy slip on recoil pad rather permanent changes, just to keep the long-gun as original as possible, and ensuring the modifications are easy to reverse. In most cases I bought Limbsaver AirTech recoil pads to reduce felt recoil, but sometimes I get them to increase the LOP on shorter buttstocks. These come in several sizes (height, width...not thickness), which is handy for obvious reasons. However, I don't think I've ever got one that fits perfectly on any of my guns, but that's been ok for me. If you can't get one that fits your stock perfectly, then get the one that's slightly smaller. Also, watch out for your rear sling stud; Limbsaver makes the bottom part shorter, presumably to accommodate sling studs. I never had an issue. Only critique I might have is how sometimes the surface that contacts your shoulder can sometimes be a little "tacky" in terms of sticking to your shirt depending on the cloth or how tight/loose your shirt is, or maybe temperature and humidity. I've noticed this, and it can be more noticeable if you slide the stock up/down your shoulder. But again, it's never been an issue for me - no complaints.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Absorbs recoil
- increases LOP
- no permanent modifications
Cons:
- need to find correct size
- thickness may not be right for everyone
- might interfere with rear sling stud
Best Used for:
- hunting
- general shooting
- shooting heavy recoil long-guns

Perfect for Maverick 88
Fits M88 better than the next size down (medium), which goes on but is noticeably tight, whereas the large is only a tad too big. Still fits snuggly without slip, and feels much wider and softer than the stock pad, which fits inside of the Limbsaver. Confident the extra wide double pad will spread out the recoil over more area and over more length of pull.

Definitely feels a lot softer than the stock pad
Get the right size, the sizing chart is out there, M88 can fit either M somewhat tightly or L a tad loosely, recommend L

Works great
Most slip on pads help. This one really does decrease feli recol at least 60%
The medium easily slid on my HMK 91 with 21” barrel (pre-94) with minimal
pulling. The other advantage is the extra 1” added to the stock length. I wear
34” sleeve length shirts, so most stocks are short for me.

Recoil Pad
I purchased this for the Luth AR buttock. It also fits well on a Magpul CTR. I was looking for a little padding when shooting prone off a bipod and bag. I have wide shoulders, and can't keep the butt off my collar bone. Even though it is only a 223, it still bites on me. This helps a bunch.

Limbsaver Airtech Recoil Pad
Significantly, reduces felt recoil on my 300 WSM. Also, adds 1 inch length of pull to the stock. Makes the rifle a pleasure to shoot. Can take it off and use on my other rifles as well. Would recommend to anyone sensitive to recoil.
