Great low-profile. Improvised spotting scope table mounted tripod
I'm glad I bought this before my last range trip. Turns out my primary tripod for my spotting scope (Bushnell titanium tripod) was still in the shop to be cerakoted. The shop was not able to have it finished before my scheduled trip with some friends. Luckily I had bought the Sirui tripod two months earlier and had it on hand.
For it's size this tripod is very steady and solid. The one issue I had was the surface it was mounted on (table) was not very steady due to the terrain (loose dirt) and the ground being less than flat. This in addition to spotting for someone who had a Surefire muzzle brake made it a little difficult to keep track of the shots. Regardless, neither of these issues were as a result due to the tripod itself.
If you want a small solid tripod to throw in your pack or range gear this is a great buy. You can disconnect the telescoping stem to staying extremely low to the ground while prone. Otherwise I'd leave the telescoping stem on as it helps keep the folding legs in place while retracted and allows for different heights if placed on a shooting bench or table. My only gripe was very minor, the screw that's on the mounting QD plate that bolts to the spotting scope (whatever device you're mounting) needs a flathead screwdriver. Most have a built-in handle to the screw so you don't need a tool. This is very minor, otherwise the tripod is a solid piece of kit.
