Up-date review of skb hybrid shotgun case 3409 - SKB Cases Hybrid Breakdown Shotgun Case 3409

Previous review of 8-30-17 stated that lid straps were too short and lid kept closing when when putting gun in or out. I did remove straps but here is what happened. With receiver of shotgun in molded area of case, i placed the the barrel on the lid portion of case. Without the straps there to support lid the weight of the barrel forced lid down and screws on one side of lid hinges ripped out. AArrrggghhhhh. Easily repaired and did reinstall straps to a length that allows lid to stay open. What a pain! Case is a great value and works well. If only those pesky straps were installed to proper length at factory...............
