This mount replaced a lighter mount I had. The lighter mount quivers when I focus the telescope and requires a few seconds to settle down. This one settles down quick enough such I can focus telescope without having to wait after each adjustment. The control will take a little more time to learn but it seems to be functioning correctly. I have not had the chance to do the single star or more stars alignment so I do not know how that will work. It has options to exclude certain angles so that it will not jam itself into a leg of a telescope. The slewing of the axis can be fast to get the telescope to point to place of interest but I still use decoupling of clutch to quickly move the scope. The clutches are smooth and still provide some friction so the scope stay still after manual adjustment. I did balance the counter weight so that probably help keep the scope still while I lock the clutches. Due to my location, I was not able to do the Polaris alignment yet. The double screw adjustments for both the rotation of the base and the inclination should make this easy.

Very rigid mount. Motors are quiet and drive both axes smoothly. It all works as advertised. I did have to adjust the R.A. Gears as they seem to have been knocked out if alignment at some point at the factory, but i didn’t consider it to be a big deal, given the nature of the hobby. I’d buy it again.
