Great product, great value, great service - Sky Watcher EvoStar 80ED Apo Refractor

I recently purchased the Sky-Wtcher Pro100 APO. I own several scopes including 8" and 11" SCT's. I was looking for a small lightweight refractor for lunar observing and imaging. This is the perfect scope for that purpose. The 4" main objective is more than adequate for both lunar and planetary observing. At F9 the contrast is excellent and the images are sharp. The overall build quality is good and the optics are excellent especially considering it's price point. You could easily spend four times as much for a high end triplet APO with not much more to show for it. You have to look really hard at a Gibbous moon to see any hint of chromatic aberration. None is evident on planets or bright stars. The focuser is adequate as is the view finder. It also comes with a 2" diagonal and a couple of giveaway eyepieces. At full price it is a bargain. On sale combined with a 12 percent off coupon it was an absolute steal. I have been playing with telescopes for 50 years and the PRO 100 is the best bang for the buck that I ever got. My AVX mount doesn't even know it is on it. It was shipped within one day of ordering and was received in perfect condition.
