Perfect if you aren’t running a micro gas system!

I just received my 4” solo intrepid handguard today, two days ahead of the projected delivery date! (Thanks Optics Planet!!!) I love it! It fits the look and exact size I needed in a very high quality setup, unlike the first option I tried for my SBR-PDW build. Even though during the install I ran into an issue that was in no way a fault of the product, (noted below,) I can say I couldn’t be happier. The build quality is top notch. The barrel nut wrench design was way simpler and more robust than the last handguard I purchased elsewhere. The lines are amazing!!! There is just enough rail space on the bottom of this short handguard for a vertical grip or small weapons light. Also the QD sling points on either side are something my last option didn’t provide. Overall I am proud to have this on my newest build, and will purchase more SLR products in the near future! ****One important note to consider. The barrel nut is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2” long. If you’re running a super short barrel DI gas-operated system with a “micro” length gas tube, you will likely run into fitment issues. I am running a 4.75” 300blk barrel with micro gas system. The tube does not bend up high enough out of the gas block to clear nearly half of the barrel nut. I ended up taking a dremel and carefully cutting out a channel on the front end of the barrel nut.
