Setup is key
We LOVE this tarp for its versatility and protection from sun or rain. Setup is key: the telescoping poles allow lower deployment to catch less wind or to choose where rain drains off. Two- pole gives more headroom and more sun protection, one-pole gives better shelter from rain and wind. For best stability in wind, be sure the open end is not facing the wind, mount it lower, and tension all the guylines well. If the ground won’t hold stakes well, invest in the long, screw-type stakes and bring along your portable drill/driver. Yes, there is a learning curve, but it is totally worth it!

Ok…if absolutely no wind
I’m sure this product would be fine in an area with absolutely zero wind, but it essentially becomes a sail in even the slightest breeze. It does not hold shape like pictured and flies all over the place. It is essentially just another tarp for me now and I’m out $113 because I didn’t get to use it until it was “outside of the return date.”
