Excellent - As Expected
It was between these and the Smith Optics Elite Arc 2. I chose these because they are flat on the side of your head while the Arc's earpieces are thicker and could cause some separation between any over the ear protection and your head. So, when I wear these Echo 2's and over the ear protection, there is no gap for sound to get through.
Build quality was as good as I expected. The lenses that came with it are clear and smoke (tinted). The act of getting them in is only minorly difficult - and I'm glad for that. If it was too easy to get the lenses on and off, I'd be worried they weren't being help firmly. I have doubt that these are being held firmly.
I got the compact version of the Echo 2 and I have an average size head. I was a little worried, but the ear pieces are flexible enough that you can bend them to the width you need.
Went to the range last weekend and they performed flawlessly. No visual deformation and they were comfortable in the 2 hours I was there. I didn't have any fragment or object impacts so I can't vouch for that. They ride higher than I thought, but my old glasses were 20 years old so I guess fashion has changed.
