This is a quality knife from S&W. Feels great in the hand. Weight for a bayonet is good. I am sure it would do what bayonets would do. I qualified expert with bayonet in the ARMY . Not saying much though. Have not used the wire cutter because I have not run across any barbed wire or concertina razor wire whilst I adventure around town.

If you want a classic m4 look, buy the knife. It's impeccable. Sharp, fits tight. Completes the rifle 100%.

Fricking awesome! Still waiting on my supper stabby attachment so I can put it on the home defense weapon of my choice . Tested it out on a friends m16 style gas block and it held in place good!

Bought the non-clamshell pack and saved the money.

Good:
Sharp
Pointy
Serrated rear is nice
M9 bayonet style
Whetstone mounted to hardshell
Hardshell scabbard is very easy to unclip from belt
Longer knife

Bad:
Wire cutter is extremely tight and marred the finish. Previous knife wire cutters I have had were not so tight. Break in will, I'm sure, help.
The bayonet mount ring is a little large- perhaps by design. When mounted to my rifle via Geissele's super stabby bayonet mount (don't judge, had to try it out) there is play which leads to rattle.
The hilt is a little, for lack of better terms, wanting in the girth area. Additionally, the hilt itself has multiple sharp edges and isn't entirely comfortable. Nothing a little hockey tape won't take care of but definitely disappointing.
Front heavy

Overall, not a bad alternative to the Ontario if you're looking for a bayonet mount knife, just have to take the bad with the good. It's a knife that'll do knife things, plus looks menacing mounted on a rifle. Would I buy it again? Sure thing, though it would have to be on sale.

There is something to be said for having a big scary knife in a self defense or survival situation. So this ticks all those boxes. As a bayonet, it is heavy AF. It will do the trick, but you better do some serious training to get ised to the weight.

I was so impressed with the quality of this Bayonet Knife that I ordered 2. After receiving this item, I was able to confirm the quality firsthand. I was not disappointed at all. High quality, exceptionally manufactured Bayonet Knife. Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a Bayonet to use as a stand-alone knife or to fit to your specific rifle that can accept a Bayonet of this type.
