I am, needless to say, less than pleased with these boots. After two months they are falling apart. Pealing, separating, no longer water proof, the tread is wearing thin. I have not abused them. I have had better luck with thirty dollar Walmart boots...

worst boot I ever had
Boots are 2 months old and falling apart fronm the soles to the leather coating over leather is peeling off in big chunks , sole is splitting off the bottom.

Comfort lives in another boot
Smith and Wesson seemed like nice boots at a fair price but after the first day that I wore them for aprox. 9 hrs. and very little walking, mostly classroom and sitting, after removing boot I found I was missing a small piece of skin on the inside of my ankle on my left foot about the size of a dime. After a week of healing and wearing a pair of Rocksport causal shoes I began wearing the S&M boots again but this time I place a band-aid over the healed sore and that worked for 4 days and again had a new and deeper soar in the same spot.

Excellent Boots
I used these boots for three weeks and they worked great, I thin the price is very low for these kind of boots. I had to march for a couple of days, and I know a lot about marching and they were excellent, maybe they don't have a good ventilation system, but I really recommend buying them.
