I used this sharpener on two axes. The first had a proper edge and the sharpener did a great job which I would have expected. The second axe blade was not that pretty as it had never been sharpened. It took a little effort but that blade is now better than when it was new. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to optimize the blade on an axe or machete. Now I have to buy a machete to try this sharpener!
