I recently purchased this item. I tried using it right away and found that the laser dot faded within 2-3 minutes of putting in the batteries and trying to sight it in. I thought it was just the batteries, so went and spent another $12 and same issue. Laser fades so cannot see it past 5-10 yards. I played around with the spring and nothing got it to work. I would not recommend
