Spec-Ops Better BDU Belt
This is a great belt, but after dealing with OpticsPlanet and their Customer Service operation I would definitely buy it elsewhere. They screwed up my order by sending it to the wrong address via the wrong shipper, and refused to send out a replacement order even though FedEx told them it was on its way back to them. They also refused to expedite reshipping my order so it took almost a month to get the belt. The customer service rep lied to me and said future orders would be shipped properly, but the same thing happened on my next order. Do yourself a favor and buy from another merchant. T...

Hit and Miss
This is my second review of this belt. In the first review I gave it five stars because it deserved five stars: the belt is stiff enough to hold up a heavy semiautomatic pistol yet not too stiff as to be uncomfortable. So, I bought a second one. The second one, although of high quality like the first, is much thinner and less stiff. I have noticed that others have mentioned this as well. The tan belt was stiff, the coyote brown belt was much to flimsy to work well as a gun belt. Therefore, I have to say that after a year of using these belts, I can not recommend them simply because you don't know what you are going to get. I spent $32 each for these belts and I expect consistent quality control. Too bad. When the time comes, I will look at other brands.

Goldilocks Belt: Not Too Stiff and Not Too Flexible
I wanted a 1.75" width belt for CCW that was stiffer than a cotton web belt but not as stiff as a police duty belt. I also wanted one with a plastic buckle that was airport friendly with a simple belt mechanism that didn't "fold" back or distort the belt like a double "D" ring buckle. Lastly, I wanted to try nylon as leather belts just aren't working for me any more. I found several brands that looked like they would fit the bill and decided to go with the Spec Ops Better BDU Belt from Optics Planet. It works better than I expected: it is stiff enough to hold up my pants and support the weight of the pistol without twisting, thus keeping it close to the body, but not ridiculously stiff like a rigger's belt or police duty belt. The buckle is simple and clean and works well. On top of this, I noticed the belt went on sale the day after I bought mine, I contacted Optics Planet and they didn't hesitate a second to refund the difference. Shipping was fast, too. For these reasons, I recommend this belt.
Pros:
- Stiff, inexpensive, works well
Cons:
- Won't win any fashion shows
Best Used for:
- ccw carry

water proof inside the waist carry
Pros: Use this belt kayaking so it meets the water resistant requirements. Does not expand when wet. Has a sharply defined edge, good for inside the waist, concealed carry, holster hooks. Can be easily tightened or loosened without dealing with defined increments. Does not distort like leather belts.
Cons: belt delivered extra long, not sure the best way to reduce the length and avoid fraying the newly cut end.

Superior Quality Belt...
Best Web belt I've ever used. Actually I've been using this brand of belt for many years. And the last 5 years I have used one for my carry belt. This belt really does work as a holster belt. It has never once slipped or malfunctioned in any way. Also is very stiff for proper support. One neat feature of a web belt is it adjusts to almost any size,(light or heavy clothing), and is comfortable besides. I have always used a 1-3/4" size, needed a 1-1/2" for a certain holster so ordered this one from Optics Planet. Great price and super fast shipping too!
Pros:
- made in the usa
- Made in USA, sturdy

Great Belt
Works as advertised at Transportation Security Agency checks, comfortable yet sturdy belt that does a great job. I've worn it tow work and after work. Doesn't slip or loosen up. Easy to adjust though if needed

Does the job
This I bought as a gift for my Daughter so I haven't used it myself. That being said it is fairly stiff so use as a pistol belt will work well and is of good sturdy construction. I will probably get one for myself.
Pros:
- verstaile
- Sturdy, strong, Very comfontable
- Lightwieght
Cons:
- None.
Best Used for:
- everyday use

Spec Opps Utility Belt
Just as described. Would buy another, maybe tan next time. I am a large man and the xl had another seven inches to go...cut to size if you want. You can use it as a regular belt or attach your gear. Cinches tight and holds strong. No metal....will go through airport security without any issues
Seems sturdy and built rugged. Had to use scissors to cut to size. My razor sharp knife wouldn't make a dent in the material. No kidding.

Spec Ops Better BDU Belt
My third Spec Ops belt. Highly recommend this belt for a variety of applications. Sturdy enough for belt holsters, and can be adjusted to be very comfortable. I suggest the narrow (1.25") version; the wider belt seems to be a bit less sturdy when wearing a holster, and is probably best suited for tactical use when a holster is not going to be worn.

Great belt - depending on color.
I bought this belt in 1.5" and 1.75" in OD green. I also bought it in 1.5" gray. The green versions are nice and stiff and hold up a holster/gun no problemo. But the gray wasn't up to snuff. First it wasn't gray, it was more of a foliage green/teal with a silky sheen to it. It was also very soft and is insufficient for carry. It's still a nice belt if you just need to keep your pants up and get through security checkpoints. The green belts get 5 stars. The gray belt gets 3 stars. So it averages out to 4. I'm afraid to try the black, tan, or coyote now. I'm afraid I might get another soft version.

I went through airport screeners with only surprised looks from TSA personnel as the metal detector did NOT alarm!
