.45 Cal Speer Gold Dot

First off I want to point out there are two versions of the Gold Dot, one specifically made to work better with short barrels. I got the standard and that’s the one called for. Excellent expansion in a water jug test. The hollowpoint is massive and some seating stems may collapse the nose during the seating process. I wound up buying RCBS dies and the custom seating stems they make for this bullet. Much better results as compared to standard Lee dies. YMMV
