Most Helpful Positive Review I luv the heck out of it!!

This thing is sweet! My Aunt and uncle are my neighbors and have a farm. I wanted something to direct my blast and sound away from them. I have collection of .30 cal muzzles. Many of them traditional side brakes. Throwing the sound and concussion sideways. This krink feels almost like a side brake b...

Most Helpful Negative Review No shims or lock washer included and no instructions. Otherwise, product is great!

This is an extremely well built and well finished product. When threading on and off any of the enteral pieces or end caps you can readily feel the excellent machining. Finish is also excellent So, the device garners five stars when it comes to fit and finish. Although I did not need it for my appli...

Spikes 9mm Barking Spider!

by Eric, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 31, 2026

This will tame the sound to your ear by dissipating the blast and sending it forward while providing some more back pressure. The provided flash hider does well also for hiding flash.

Pros:

Flash hiding
Comes in 3 different calibers
provides back pressure
noise to ear is reduced

Cons:

Heavy

Cycling subs and supers

8.5 300 blk pistol. Wanted to cycle subs and supers. Barking spider 2 gave the back pressure needed. Didnt have last round hold open but that can be spring and or buffer weight fix. Would recommend.

barking spider

by David Strickland, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on November 21, 2022

This thing is so nice. It does create some blowback in the system so be ready for that, not much at all really. I have had a lot of fun with it. It cleans easier then I thought it would. Has a very strong finish on it. I like that it can be pinned and welded that’s cool. What can I say spikes makes good products. This was better then I was expecting!

Pros:

Sound Reduction

Cons:

None

Barking spider two

by David Strickland, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on November 2, 2022

I ordered this to finish a SBR I am building. I always love spikes brand. Good Quality. Solid products and good steel used. This thing is very strong and designed well. Easy to clean. You can choose two different end caps. How do I put this, if you have a suppressor and use on often get this! It does add some blow back pressure. Be ready to tune possibly. Still blown away! You will be happy with this purchase as I am. Thinking about ordering several.

BARKING SPIDER IS LIT!

by shadowman, Verified Owner from VI, United States Written on November 21, 2021

getting this product solves this big flashy issue of the 7.5 length barrel you can shoot in the dark and not go blind with this.

Delivery faster than normal and item is very easy to apply. Use the pronged extension to cut flash

Sound is also redirected away from you and fellow shooters and at the thing you are shooting at anyway (lol)

Love spikes tactical products. This is a great addition to a shorter barrel ar pistol. Optics planet takes about a week to ship but once it is out there door it arrives within a couple days. I would recommend

Barking spider

by John, from SC, United States Written on October 15, 2020

This thing works awesome! Not only does it muffle the shot it blows any gases forward. It's screws perfectly onto the barrel. It is very lightweight. It also has a cool look to it. I would recommend this to anyone who has an AR-15 or short barrel rifle.

This is a BIG muzzle device

by Muddy, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on September 22, 2020

I am happy with this muzzle device. It really helps hide the muzzle flash and helps with recoil. I used this on a recent ar9 build, and had to reorder a handguard because the size of the muzzle device would not fit the inner diameter of the handguard. It is 1.4" so take that into consideration with your build.

Pros:

Recoil absorption

Cons:

Large

Awesome Muzzle Break

by Byron, from TX, United States Written on August 21, 2020

I can shoot beside other shooters now!!! Great sound! Great look! Awesome product! It is built very well. Threads are seamless. Easy on and off of your barrel. It pushes all of the sound down range. You will have to get a hand guard that has a larger open end, than a standard hand guard. You will have to buy one that will fit a suppressor if you want the recessed look.

Pros:

easy installation

Cons:

None

Best Used for:

great for AR pistol
