Good spring, but still has ar twang - Spikes Tactical Buffer Spring Mil-Spec, 17-7 Stainless Steel, Electro Polish Finish

I bought this at the advice of a friend who told me it reduced his AR “twang” only to find that it acts much like my others (Stag and Noveske) do. A little lubricant helps, but if you want silence the Armaspec or JP are your answers. I guess I’ll have a backup spring once I upgrade to a true silent spring.

The spring was used in an 8.5” 300AAC pistol build with a 3.8oz buffer and full mass SRC bolt. I have ran a decent amount out of it from 110-220gr loads and reliability has been 100%.
