simple and lightweight
This is a solid, simple and lightweight upper receiver. A great upper for a sport shooter or someone that is looking to minimize their build. I’m a fan of its slickness. There isn’t much to snag on gear when running and gunning.

Spikes upper
I received a really good one..I lapped the receiver and all it did was rub the coating off and was perfectly squared. And that was a first from many other brands of receivers I have worked with. The barrel I installed went in on the tighter side, but was still set in with loctite 620. Thinking I'll just keep buying a spikes upper from here on out.

M4 Flat Top Upper from Spike Tactical
I wanted to share my feedback on the upper receiver. This is my second upper receiver from Spikes Tactical, and it is a very good product. I used mostly Spikes Tactical parts for both my 16" build and my .300BLK, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone building their own AR-15.
I also wanted to pass along a helpful tip for future buyers, rather than a complaint. The barrel fits very tightly into the upper receiver, so it may require a bit of extra force and patience to ensure it fully engages in the keyed slot. It fits a bit tighter than shown in online videos, but it works great once installed. I'm happy with my purchased and will continued to buy their products.

Consistent quality!
Some might argue this point but over the years I have received "junk" from some of the larger manufacturers. Now I check the bore on all uppers before I start assembling the AR. From what I see Spikes uppers come in between 0.999" - 1.000" consistently and this gives you amazing performance. Would I purchase another, absolutely!

Excellent upper and a great value
I have become a fan of the Spikes uppers and lowers - they are a solid foundation to build on and have been consistently good, unlike some brands that show up out of spec and needed some work. The quality hits the mark at a good price = value.

AR Receiver
First one ordered had a non-superficial scratch on the side. OP promptly replaced the item. The Receiver is machined well and evenly coated, no blemishes. This Upper mated perfectly with the Spikes Tactical Lower I ordered from OP. Fit, form, and function is perfect! Hats off to Spikes Tactical and awesome job OP!

Top Knotch Upper
This upper definitely fits snug in my aero lower. The last upper I had installed on those lower was very loose in comparison and even adjusting the screw under the take down pin didn’t take up all the slop. With this upper there’s no worry of any kind of looseness or slop between it and the lower.

spikes upper receiver
solid build with milspec dust cover. got this upper to mate with spikes lower. i love the little spider emblem on top of the rail.the black anodizing kinda more shiny than other brand uppers. the color matches the spikes lower though. best buy in my opinion spikes QC is top and within my budget.

Strong and Durable Upper
Pairs great with a Spikes lower, I use this with a .300 blackout setup and it runs great. Definitely buying another one to start another build with.
