SurfDon's Review of Napier Backroadz Truck Tent

I ordered this exact item from Amazon. It shipped but somehow Amazon lost it during transit. Amazon could not fulfill another order being that this is a hot commodity these days. Not only that but the price went up to $289 on Amazon a few days later when they were back in stock. The bummer was that I had a camp trip planned at the end of August. I figured I was out of luck. I happened to see that OpticsPlanet was selling the exact item I needed and at the original $179 price tag. I pulled the trigger and crossed my fingers in hopes it would arrive in time for my camp trip. Sure enough, OpticsPlanet pulled through and my tent made it in time. I had a great camp trip and enjoyed the Napier BackRoadz tent. Perfect fit. It was a little challenging setting up at night with a handheld flashlight single person (misplaced my headlamp). I found it best to secure the base first to the tailgate then the sides and back of the bed before attaching tent poles. You could also build on the ground first and then add to the truck bed. Either way you do it, you want to secure it to the tail gate first as it wants to naturally fall that way. Otherwise, it can be a little tricky adding tent poles with the base not secure by yourself. The tent was very spacious. The materials and zippers are good quality. The best way to camp with a truck!
