I purchased a Springfield Armory M1A rifle. Unfortunately, it did not have this cleaning kit with the rifle. If you price each component individually, it makes sense to buy this kit. Well made. Meets the intended need. The kit would have been complete if it included a gas tube wrench.

M1a1 cleaning kit

This kit has been really useful for taking care of my M1A1 Springfield Armory. I have been using it for the last 3 months. I purchased the item and have used it while shooting for extended seccsions on the range. It is a very well made kit with a nice hard case to keep cleaning supplies from getting lost.

I would not buy this again.

I am used to good deals from Optics Planet. I've bought from them several times and been satisfied. Not in this case though. By the time shipping was added, I ended up paying $36.44. That seems like a steep price for what's in it. Also I agree with the other reviews that the picture is misleading.

Decent but picture is misleading

Caught this on sale but failed to read product description in detail and simply went off product picture, which was completely incorrect in terms of all tool for the kit I received. My mistake, however, use correct image with the product I''m purchasing!

Disappointed that the gas cylinder wrench and flash suppressor tool were not included. Was about to send it back, but re-read the description. Be aware that the picture is not what is included in the set. Otherwise the kit is what it is - a M1A cleaning kit. Rating is based on misleading graphic of what comes in the kit. I purchased this particular item because I wanted to be able to do a complete disassembly.
Pros: Multi tool for bolt and gas plug
