The Springfield Armory M2 Bipod MA5015 is ALL metal (No cheap Plastic) and is well made... I was not sure about clamping it to the gas tube because of accuracy problems but it had no effect... All in all a good fit for someone who does not want to drill and screw a bipod on their walnut stock...
Most Helpful Negative Review Built well, but not correctly.
The clamps are not machined correctly to where one side fits perfectly while the other is slightly off and will not secure 100%. I kept thinking it wasn't tight enough and ended up breaking it. Now I'm out the money for this and a bipod. Guess I could use it for display but what a letdown. At least ...

Springfield bipod

Comes in a clear plastic bag with the stereotypical made in Taiwan sticker on it. No mention of Springfield Armory or any paperwork what’s so ever. It feels cheap. It’s metal but not made well. It looks like the bipod that’s supposed to be on an m1a is the best thing I can say about it.

Springfield Armory M-2 Bipod

Arrived fast and only took minutes to install on my M1A. Plan on using it in the next vintage rifle match I compete in. In a way it makes the M1A look similar to a WWII vintage BAR.
Pros:

M2 Bipod review

Bipod looks well made but the mounting clamp that clamps to the gas tube is not machined correctly and will not clamp the bipod onto the rifle, Such a shame!!!

Springfield M-2 bipod

Looks great, well built but where it connects to the gas cylinder the clamping system is not machined properly and one side is way off and can not clamp onto the gas cylinder. Very disappointed!!
