Superb design, extraordinarilly lightweight, extra slick action, easily-opened with gloves due to Spyderco oversize blade hole. Clear and away the best EDC folding knife I've ever owned. THE REVIEWS WERE EXACTLY RIGHT!

Added this to my collection of Spydercos and in particular my Manix 2 collection. This one was no different than the others. Came in sharp as a razor, deploys with a flick of the finger and drops shut. Very slicy and cuts through cardboard like butter. Only time will tell how the edge holds up but for now it's great. My only issue with the Manix series in general is the stiff spring. Not terrible but a slightly lighter spring would make them sing.

I was hoping to do some parts swapping between this and an older Manix I have but it has rivets not screws. Eventually I'll get adventurous enough to drill them out but I'm going to carry it for a while first. The weight is fantastic, the plastic handle transforms the Manix from a big heavy knife in time a big light knife. The Spyder hole as always makes it super easy to open one handed without chewing up the tip of your thumb. The bent wire pocket clip rides deeper than the flat metal style and feel every bit as secure. I can't say anything bad about it except I wish it had screws instead of rivets.
Pros:
Very light for the size
Easy to open one handed
Very strong ball bearing lock mechanism
Rides pretty deep in the pocket clip
Cons:
Riveted construction so disassembly requires a drill
Best Used for:
EDC but possibly too big for a white collar setting

I really like this knife for everyday carry, because of it's light weight and blade shape. Spyderco makes good quality knives. This knife is also good to accompany a fixed blade in your backpack kit. The steel is easy to resharpen. I cut cardboard boxes with this knife. I can't say enough about this knife, I am glad to have it.
Pros:
None
Cons:

Best Used for:
edc, hiking

I ordered the spyderco manix 2 in cpm110v after owning the same knife in maxamet. Both knives are everything you would hope for. The 110v came a little sharper than the maxamet from the factory. You will not be disappointed with either. I carry the maxamet on dry days and the 110v if it is raining or if I will be fishing or boating. You can’t lose with either!
