Typical Spyderco Quality

Written on Sep 10, 2025

Added this to my collection of Spydercos and in particular my Manix 2 collection. This one was no different than the others. Came in sharp as a razor, deploys with a flick of the finger and drops shut. Very slicy and cuts through cardboard like butter. Only time will tell how the edge holds up but for now it's great. My only issue with the Manix series in general is the stiff spring. Not terrible but a slightly lighter spring would make them sing.

Ultra Small

Written on May 25, 2025

I guess I should've did a bit more research on this one. I figured it would be a great fifth pocket knife and it would, for a child or someone with tiny hands. Typical slicy flat grind blade that's ridiculously sharp but that's the good part. Just too small for fill size hands. They aren't cheap either. I personally think they should be more around the 30-35 dollar price range. $55 plus is quite a bit for what it is. My teenager granddaughter who was with me when I opened it fell in love with it cause it was so cute!! So obviously I gave it to her right there and then

Good but not the best Spyderco

Written on May 24, 2025

I had really high hopes for the Sage 6. I have a Manix 2, PM2 and a Smock. They all have great action. Everyone of them flicks right open and drops shut with zero issues. Because the others were so spot, I thought that the 6 with a combination of the all of them would really win me over as my next EDC but truly cannot get the action dialed in like the others. I've taken it apart several times. Did a deep cleaning, gently polished the washers with non abrasive cleaner. Lubed it up put it back together and it was just slightly better. Second time around I decided to remove the upper detent ball. Again, slightly better. First time I've been disappointed with a Spyde.

Top Quality

Written on May 15, 2025

Another outstanding product by Spyderco. Absolutely love this knife. Fun, fidgety and buttery smooth. Probably the smoothest knife I own and I have 60 plus folders. Flicks right open with any finger using the thumb hole or the flipper. No blade play just one consistently smooth deployment. Button lock has zero stick to it and with a slight wrist flick it closes right up. Blade was razor sharp out of the box Couldn't be happier

Spyderco Over Delivers Again

Written on Mar 22, 2025

While most American companies are giving you less, Spyderco is doing just the opposite. Giving you a beautifuly polished large, razor sharp blade with buttery smooth action. A nice robust handle with perfect all around ergonomics. I have purchased several American made knives lately with upgraded steel and have been left completely underwhelmed and disappointed. I won't mention names but hats off to Spyderco for delivering an excellent product. I can't speak highly enough of them. Due to this purchase I decided to purchase another Spyderco and again I was overly impressed. Nothing but love for this brand

Great Trigger for a poly version

Written on Mar 13, 2025

I originally wanted the aluminum version but it was on such a long backorder I decided to try the Poly Dat. Kinda glad I did it's incredibly smooth on your finger yet keeps the feel of the original trigger the Glocks cone with. Easy to install. Just drops right in. For the most part it keeps everything as stock. Slack take up and a wall with a bit of creep but then you get a smoother and cleaner break. Of course the main benefit is trigger shoe. Smooth on the finger, no biting at all. All that for what it's essentially a bargain. Truthful in a world with 300 triggers it's nice to drop in a 50 one and get so much out of it
