NOT BAD FOR THE PRICE. THE OTHER REVIEW GAVE NEGATIVE REMARKS SAYING THE IMAGE WAS FUZZY. THIS WAS TRUE OUT OF THE BOX, BUT ONCE YOU FOCUS THE OBJECTIVE WITH THE EYE PIECE THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS. AS FAR AS ZOOM GOES, REMEMBER ITS DIGITAL SO YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-FOCUS EVERY TIME YOU ZOOM AN IMAGE. ...

The picture is very fuzzy. It is hard to tell what you are looking at at night time. Also you cannot look thru glass or a screen, I think it interferes with the infrared sensor. The size of the cam is good and range is good.
Very good at this price point
This is a $100 IR monocular - keep in mind that many IR optics are in the $1000 range. I saw a review stating that you cannot use it through a window. Keep in mind this is much like a normal monocular with an attached flashlight... it’s just that the “flashlight” is a low power IR illuminator and the monocular is sensing IR instead of daylight. Any glass will reflect the IR back at the monocular as opposed to illuminating things outside. The IR illuminator is low power (about 1 watt). If you were to use a more powerful illuminator in conjunction with this monocular, clarity and distance would be greatly improved. Overall, I am very happy with its performance. I was able to see about 250’ clearly after focusing the monocular before my line of sight was blocked by trees. This would be good for spotting deer or hogs at a feeder across a field. Well worth the money.

Good for the price
Works great, the first reviewer wrote about not being able to see through glass. Tbis is obvious because 1) the amount of energy in IR is significantly lower than visible light. 2) the wattage on the light is 1 watt, now if it was say a 50 watt bulb then maybe you could see through then. It does the job and can obviously pick up 435-850nm wavelengths of light.
