Really great scope. super clear optics. - Steiner GS3 2-10x 42mm Rifle Scope

The Steiner GS3 2-10x42 is a fantastic scope, especially for the price. It compares to my buddy's Swarovski, Kahles, and Leica scopes, but is less than half the cost. It is even better than my Leupold VX-6 (2-12x42) and Zeiss Zconquest, as the glass is clearer with better light transmission. I really like the 2-10 magnification range on my Browning BAR .308. It is crystal clear and in focus across the entire magnification range. I hunt deer and hogs in both thick timber and open country, so this scope is perfect for this rifle. I got the 4A reticle, not the S-1. I paid more for the 4A reticle version, but it was worth it for the type of shooting I do. It is physically a big scope, but I think that contributes to its quality and function. Generous eye relief, wide field of view make it perfect for North American big game hunting. It weighs comparable to similar scopes in that class, too. The 30mm tube is nice as well. I would highly recommend this scope or any of the GS3 models. It's really an incredible scope for the price.
